The Great Texas Drought

I have never seen the water this low here! This is supposed to be part of the San Jacinto river...As you can see it's bone dry. The clump of trees out there was an island, now I can walk over to it!
Some places are getting too much rain, but we're not getting enough.
Anyways, Canon 7D. Sigma 10-20mm. It was very dark when I took this shot so I used a LED flashlight to flood the foreground with a little light as it was a bit windy and I wanted to minimize the exposure time to keep the trees in the background from getting too blurred since they were moving so much.
